A $1.5 billion theme park is about to open on Mexico’s Pacific coast, but most travelers will not be able to buy a ticket at the gate.
VidantaWorld’s Beauty of Nature, better known as BON Luxury Theme Park, begins its phased soft opening on October 24, 2026, at the company’s Vallarta–Nuevo Nayarit resort. For now, entry is limited to guests staying at VidantaWorld, and park admission is a separate purchase subject to availability. The general public is not scheduled to get access until April 2027.
The company bills BON as the “world’s first luxury theme park.” That label is marketing rather than an industry award, but the access rules are real and important: booking a trip to Puerto Vallarta does not automatically mean you can visit the park this fall.
BON opens October 24, but only for resort guests
VidantaWorld’s official preview confirms the October 24 opening date and says the initial period is exclusive to guests at Vidanta Vallarta–Nuevo Nayarit. The company’s launch information adds that those guests may purchase separately ticketed admission during their stay, subject to availability.
That makes this closer to a private preview than a conventional grand opening. Travelers staying elsewhere in Puerto Vallarta or Riviera Nayarit should not build an October, November, or winter itinerary around BON unless VidantaWorld confirms their eligibility in writing.
The public opening is planned for April 2027. Even then, BON will still be evolving. VidantaWorld says all seven themed worlds are expected to open gradually through December 2027, so “publicly open” will not mean the final version of the park is complete.
Five themed worlds and 14 attractions will open first
The October preview begins with five of BON’s seven planned worlds: Laguna Feliz, Celebration Lagoon, Crystal Star Plaza, Discovery Jungle, and Adventure Valley. VidantaWorld says the opening lineup will include 14 attractions, with more than 20 experiences and attractions planned when the park is complete.
The most recognizable ride may be The Rise of Soluma, a suspended Vekoma coaster where the train hangs below the track. Company specifications put it at 372 meters, or roughly 1,220 feet, of track, with a height of about 65 feet and a top speed near 33 mph.
Floresta Drop is a roughly 130-foot Intamin drop tower, while Time Quest is a family ride that spins and sways. Celebration Lagoon’s centerpiece, The Crater, is designed for a nighttime fountain, water, and light show.
BON is not leaning on a major movie franchise or a familiar cast of licensed characters. Its concept uses original stories inspired by Mexico’s landscapes and mythology. That could help the park feel different from its larger competitors, but visitors during the soft opening should remember that they are seeing an unfinished, phased debut.
What makes a theme park “luxury”?
VidantaWorld describes luxury here as more space, service, comfort, dining, and a slower pace rather than simply expensive finishes. BON is scheduled to operate in the evenings from Tuesday through Saturday, with nightly attendance intentionally limited.
A smaller crowd sounds appealing, especially to anyone who has spent a vacation staring at a two-hour wait time. Still, limited capacity is not a promise that every attraction will have a short line. A soft opening can also bring ride downtime, changing hours, incomplete areas, and operational adjustments as employees and systems settle into real guest use.
The park sits inside a larger resort destination with hotels, restaurants, golf, and Cirque du Soleil’s LUDÕ production. That integrated setup is central to the concept: BON is meant to function as part of a resort stay rather than as an isolated one-day amusement park.
What travelers should check before booking
- Confirm eligibility: The October 24 soft opening is for VidantaWorld guests, not every visitor staying in the Puerto Vallarta region.
- Do not assume admission is included: The company says BON requires a separate ticket, subject to availability.
- Ask which areas will be operating: Five themed worlds open first. The complete seven-world park is expected to roll out in phases.
- Plan around evening hours: BON is initially scheduled to operate Tuesday through Saturday at night, so it should not replace a daytime activity without checking current hours.
- Expect soft-opening changes: Attraction availability, showtimes, access rules, and operating dates can shift during a phased launch.
- Wait if you are not staying at VidantaWorld: Public access is planned for April 2027, and broader ticket details may become clearer closer to that date.
Why this opening stands out
Theme-park travelers have had an unusually eventful year. California’s Great America recently added 11 fall operating days, while Six Flags confirmed that the fan-favorite ArieForce One coaster will return at a yet-to-be-named park.
BON is different because it is not an extension, relocation, or single new attraction. It is a brand-new destination trying to create a category around luxury, controlled capacity, original storytelling, and resort-only access during its first months.
The opening also gives travelers another reason to look beyond Florida and California when planning a theme-park trip. But the fine print matters more than the headline. BON opens October 24, yet the first people through the gates will be VidantaWorld resort guests who secure separate admission.
The bottom line
If you already have a VidantaWorld stay booked after October 24, ask the resort about BON ticket availability and the operating lineup for your dates. If you are staying elsewhere, wait for confirmed public ticket information before planning around the park.
The first look begins this month. The version most travelers can actually enter is still scheduled for April 2027.
